A red wine from the Piceno terroir. Blackberry and violet, soft tannins and youth.
No complications of wood, only red fruit, Spring harmonies, a refreshing pleasure of drinking well.
Preferably not with “white” food; certainly pairing well with all that is “red”
Appellation: Rosso Piceno DOC
Altitudes and Aspects: South - East; South -West. From 200 to 280 meters above sea level
Soil: Deep, medium-textured, located on a hill
Vineyard: Organic fertilization, legume green manure and mechanical weeding
Training method: Spurred cordon
Grapes variety: Montepulciano, Sangiovese, Lacrima
Harvesting: Hand harvesting from the second half of September until the first part of October. Use of small crates, selection of the bunches directly in the vineyard
Winemaking: Crushing and destemming of the grapes. Alcoholic fermentation in steel under controlled temperature. Maceration of the grapes for 8-10 days. Malolactic fermentation in steel
Aging: Matured in steel and oak barrels for 8 months before aging in bottles for other 6 months
Serving temperature: 16°- 18°C.
